Ask Me Anything: Behind the Scenes with a Therapist

Ever wondered what inspired me to become a therapist, what challenges I love tackling, or what I’d be doing if I wasn’t in this field? I recently answered some of your burning questions in an AMA video, and let’s just say—you got me to spill!

I started my journey in research, analyzing data and working on studies, but I quickly realized my passion wasn’t in spreadsheets—it was in connecting with people. My proudest moments as a therapist? Those breakthroughs when a client says, “I couldn’t wait to tell you this!” Watching someone take a step toward the life they deserve is the best part of my job.

I also shared the therapeutic tools I can’t live without (mindfulness and breathwork are game-changers) and the challenges I love tackling—especially helping people rebuild trust in therapy after bad past experiences. And for those curious, if I weren’t a therapist, I’d probably be a yoga instructor, a professional sourdough baker, or a full-time dog mom.
