  1. Watch the news cycle most of the day and doom-scroll on various social media platforms

  2. Take short, shallow breaths from the chest

  3. Over schedule and over commit yourself by saying "yes" too often

  4. Forget to eat and don't drink any water

  5. Drink excessive amounts of caffeine

  6. Definitely do not engage in any type of self care

  7. Forget to take your medication as prescribed, or take it inconsistently

  8. Isolate yourself away from supportive friends and family members

  9. Cancel your appointment with your licensed mental health professional or licensed professional therapist

  10. Allow yourself to ruminate and catastrophize over every physical sensation you notice
